If there’s one thing that’s better than a great mall, it would have to be a great outlet mall. Outlet stores are great because they allow you to shop for clothes and items you’d normally purchase but at, potentially, very reduced prices. The Dixie Outlet Mall is located at 1250 South Service Road in Mississauga, and it is a spot you’ll definitely want to add to your itinerary when visiting the city. Here’s some of what you can expect to find when you visit.

There’s a store for anyone, and everyone!

From Bluenotes to Carters OshKosh, this outlet area is perfect for any family outing. You can be sure to find great deals on all the things you’re looking for plus everyone will be happy when they get to go to the store they wanted.

There’s lots of food

The food choices here are almost endless, it seems. You can choose to have a delicious burger – like at A & W – or you can opt for something a little different with Bourbon Street Grill. No matter what your tastes are, after a day spent hunting for bargains you’re going to be glad to enjoy all the delicious food this outlet mall has to offer.

It’s really big

This outlet mall is one of Canada’s largest enclosed shopping centres. There’s over 120 stores calling this mall home, including many brand name, designer stores like Tommy Hilfiger, GUESS, Footlocker, Nike and Laura. One of the best things about coming to this massive mall is that you’ll likely find everything you were looking for, and probably even a few things you weren’t. Since it’s an outlet store, where all the designer clothing stores are discounted, can you really afford to not take a look and see what’s here?

It’s conveniently located

This mall can be found just 20 minutes from downtown Toronto, following the Queen Elizabeth Parkway. There’s lots of public transit access, too, if you don’t drive since it’s so close to the city. The mall can be accessed via GO transit and Mississauga Transit.

There is more than just shopping

At specific times throughout the year, there will be mall wide events put on. Sometimes these events are to raise awareness for causes or fundraise for certain groups. The mall is always willing to help out nonprofit organizations with space to set up booths and promote their cause. Since so many people come here to shop, it’s a great way to get the word out about many causes.

Visiting the Dixie Outlet Mall could be a whole day event, if you want, or maybe you just need to run into one store to purchase one thing. If you aren’t from the area, and you’re visiting family or friends, this can also be a fun way to spend an afternoon especially if the weather isn’t fantastic. No matter what you’re looking for, the Dixie Outlet Mall gives you a great selection of items are at just the right price, but be careful: you may not be the only one with your eye on an item when you get there.
