- Kyle Schmid
Born on August 3, 1984, this 35-year old actor is from Mississauga. He was well-known for his role as Henry Fitzroy from Blood Ties, a supernatural drama series wherein he effectively portrayed the role of a 470-year old vampire. But before he landed on this role he also started with smaller projects like commercials and early modelling. He also did auditions for television and films. Soon, he got supporting roles and appeared in the following movies: The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, A History of Violence, and Zerophilia. Schmid was also nominated as Supporting Young Actor of 2001 or Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie.
- Dameon Clarke
The next actor from Mississauga Ontario also started acting at a young age. Born on January 16, 1972, at the age of 11, Dameon Clarke was doing commercials. However, he had to stop to focus on his studies. He returned when he was 25 and was able to secure good roles in the following tv shows: Prison Break, Criminal Minds, and CSI: Miami. Clarke’s voice was also used to bring to life characters like Cell from Dragon ball Z, and Handsome Jack from the Borderlands game franchise.
- Adamo Ruggiero
Popularly known as the co-host on The Next Star, Adamo Angelo Ruggerio is also from Mississauga. He was born on June 9, 1986 and began acting at a young age. But even when he was young, he already knew his sexual orientation – and coincidentally, some of his roles reflected his real-life homosexuality. In 2002, he starred as a gay teenager named Marco Del Rossi in “Degrassi”. He also played the role of a gay in the 2009 Christmas film about LGBT’s – “Make the Yuletide Gay”, and Luis in the CBC series “Being Erica”. In addition, Ruggiero became an active speaker and activist for LGBT rights.
- Chris Violette
Famous for being the Blue Ranger from Power Rangers S.P.D, Chris Violette is listed as one of the most famous actors from Mississauga. This 38-year old actor tried a few different careers before settling into acting. Despite having a diploma in Business Marketing, he decided to discover his passion for arts. He also tried modelling and soon took acting classes. Chris Violette is also exploring the field of editing, directing, writing and producing. But in 2005, he got the role of Schuyler Tate (Sky), the blue ranger in Power Rangers S.P.D. Since then, he got more projects including roles for Flashpoint, Bitten, Degrassi, Saving Hope, and Lost Girl.
- Daniel Kelly
Another successful actor from Mississauga is a star of Degrassi, a Canadian TV drama. He is Daniel Kelly, who played the role of Owen Milligan. Kelly was born on May 25, 1992, and aside from acting he also has a talent in rapping. His stage name was Deph Naught and he used to collaborate with other rappers too. Daniel Kelly also appeared in the web series “Teenagers” (2015), and “Flashpoint”.
